Putting business men and women together with an auction can only mean brilliant lots up for grabs at bargain prices, unless you get in a bidding war! The Auction of Promises was jointly run by Sandra from Mingle for Business and St.Kentigern Hospice. The auction was held at the Springfield Hotel in Holywell, North Wales.
With the fabulous Mr. Bob Parry, who is well known across North Wales and has been on TV’s Flog It, as our auctioneer for the night, we were set for a fun evening. The auction started off with a casual, friendly mingle between each other and then we got underway. There were many different lots up for auction, including:
- VIP visit for two at Airbus in Broughton.
- On location/portable studio photoshoot with Lensation.
- Exhibition stand at Mingle for Business’s conference 2017.
- Snowdonia Cheese hamper
- Gardening services
- Afternoon tea at Deganwy Quay
There were a few bidding wars happening around the room but everything was fun and upbeat. The lucky winners were overjoyed to win the lots they wanted and they laughed off the ones they missed out on.
After all the lots had been auctioned off it was time for the raffle and the lucky winner of the hamper was Richard from North Wales Tweets.
It was then time to cash everything together and for the highest bidders to get their prizes.
The auction raised £1200 for St.Kentigern Hospice and a good time was had by all.
