With the rise of social media, the whole world has become extremely visual and now more than ever, a picture is indeed worth a thousand words. With that in mind, choosing to hire a professional photographer for your event is an essential part of planning, as the photographs can be used in so many ways and on many different platforms to promote an event, show how successful it was or to record a once in a lifetime moment. A professional photographer will be able to work with their clients to ensure that all the photographs are tailored to their specific needs. Snapshots on a mobile phone are okay for some situations but if you are looking for high resolution photographs which can be used on social media as well as your website, or any print advertising then a professional photographer is a far better option.
Since my first event, the brilliant Conwy Pirate Weekend, to my most recent event, Key Strings’ workshop at Venue Cymru’s Take pART, I have photographed a range of different events. From corporate events, including workshops, networking and conferences, to wonderful personal events, including weddings and county shows. Each of them having their own wonderful participants and each creating their own delightful memories for me to capture.
The brilliant Conwy Pirate Weekend was my first event and it was a big one, there were many attendees for me to photograph and an amazing pirate wedding! This event threw me in at the deep end and so I had to get into the swing of things quickly. I was able to portray all the different pirate workshops, stall holders and the wedding over this two-day event.
2017 then took me into the world of corporate events while still photographing other events, from a fantastic Mingle for Business networking lunch to a special Auction of Promises for the St. Kentigern Hospice. From depicting fabulous candid photographs at the different corporate events, I was able to find my own style of being a creative photographer documenting corporate events.
After always saying I never wanted to photograph any weddings, in 2018 I shot two! Both were wonderful and exciting, neither bride wanted traditional wedding photographs, they were both looking for relaxed, candid photographs which caught the atmosphere and emotions of the whole day. I had so much fun at both weddings and the photographs still make me smile!
So, if you are looking for a photographer to portray your event, whether is it corporate or more of a party, then get in touch today as it is one of the best ways to show attendees and future attendees all about you fantastic event!
